The position is part of the Open Systems Storage Group – Disk

Provisioning for WW or RR location. WW is preferred but RR is

acceptable.

This position is responsible for storage provisioning and

support on multiple storage platforms  Storage area network

(SAN) knowledge and support, and migrating workloads across the

environment

Implements, maintains, and supports customized storage

infrastructure to meet business requirements and to comply with

established procedures.

Deploys and supports storage management

software installations to meet business requirements and to comply

with established procedures. 

Drafts design documentation and

diagrams to meet business requirements.

Tests, implements, and

documents storage and back-up and recovery solutions to meet

business needs and to comply with established procedures.

Documents business continuity plans to mitigate exposure to

internal and external threats and to provide effective prevention and

recovery.

Implements storage and back-up recovery environment to

meet applications requirements.

Required Skills

Advanced experience with Storage Administration, NAS, Storage Area

Networks ? Knowledge with administrating and supporting Redhat

Linux, Microsoft Windows Server and VMware VSphere operating

systems especially when related to storage management and

provisioning. ? Experience supporting storage and data protection;

solid problem determination skills; communication skills;

troubleshooting skills. Planning, organizing, accountability and

initiative. Detail-oriented, team building ? Participate and lead Incident

Recovery and Problem Management as it relates to the use of storage

and backups. ? Familiarity with gathering logs from equipment and

opening support tickets with vendors and providing support for

issues. ? Provide technical support during System, Production, User

Acceptance and Implementation testing to analyze and resolve

defects ? ?
