    The Patient Safety Coordinator serves as an advocate for patient safety by developing, assisting with implementation and providing oversight for strategies, programs, and services that reduce patient risk. The role functions as a primary leader in promoting systems that foster the development of a culture of proactive patient safety.  The Patient Safety Coordinator also performs clinical investigations and communicates trends and patterns that will facilitate improvement.

     

    Required Skills

    • Facilitating Root Cause Analysis
    • Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA's)
    • Conducting safety assessments

    Required Experience

    REQUIRED: 

    • Clinical background of 5-10 years nursing experience in a hospital.
    • Education requirements are a RN with a current California License
    • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution

     

    PREFERRED: 

    • Master’s Degree
