    THIS IS TO FILL A FULL-TIME POSITION IN WHITTIER

     

    The implementation of technology is part of PIH Health’s strategy in creating an integrated delivery system and putting patients first.  The EMD TRAINER is a key part of providing education and training to staff to prepare them for the implementation of technology in their offices and/or the hospital. 

     

    The EMD TRAINER participates in the workflow analysis and education planning. This function is develops, organizes, implements, and evaluates the education of the electronic health record and associated computer applications for PIH Health Physician (PHP) clinical staff.

    • Comprehension of general workflows related to office roles for practice management and the electronic health record
    • Excellent understanding of all Medical Assistant and Front Office staff competencies

    Required Experience

    • High School diploma or G.E.D. is required
    • Graduation certification from an accredited Medical Assistant Program or higher level of education or clinical experience is preferred
    • MINIMUM TWO (2) YEARS OF EXPERIENCE PERFORMING FRONT AND/OR BACK OFFICE FUNCTIONS IN A MEDICAL OFFICE SETTING
    • EXPERIENCE WITH PROGRAMS SUCH AS MICROSOFT OFFICE, CAMTASIA, & WEBEX OR SIMILAR WEB BASED PROGRAMS IS PREFERRED
    • Proficient in medical terminology
    • Evidence of continuing education preferrred
    • Demonstrated teaching ability in formal setting preferred
