The Department Specialist is primarily responsible for duties related to Physician and AHP applications.  Responsible for the oversight/processing of Physician and AHP applications as well as the credentialing process for all Physician and AHP.  Acts as the Front Desk Receptionist and assist with Medical Staff office functions.

Required Skills

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum six (6) months in an acute care hospital performing Medical Staff office functions or data analysis functions.
• Computer proficiencies in WORD< EXCEL< and working in PDF documents.
• L.A City Fire card within six (6) months of employment.

Preferred:

• Previous experience in medical staff services functions.
• Medical terminology 
• NAMMS certification
• Bachelors or Master's degree in health-related area
