    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Vallen’s Flexible Procurement Solution (FPS) Senior Manager is a Manager of Associates, responsible for managing FPS operations and implementations.  FPS is an inventory management system that combines advanced technology with industrial vending to drive productivity and reduce costs for businesses.  This is a leadership role that directs the FPS Team, managing and delegating all duties and projects. 

     

      ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Facilitate transition through the sales cycle, implementation, and customer go-live utilizing Vallen resources.
    • Manage and delegate kick-off meetings and communicate with project stakeholders to discuss customer needs requirements, customizations, and project timelines.
    • Provide solution recommendations based on Vallen's value, Customer goals, and objectives.
    • Collect and review all customer information sheets to ensure customer requirements are documented and complete.
    • Confirm financial fit for new opportunities.
    • Utilize configuration software to recommend the best vending option and layout for customers.
    • Validate whether the form, fit and function of the software-recommended vending option would meet the need of the customer.
    • Manage site readiness assessments such as review space requirements, test sample badges, test internet connectivity, and speed.
    • Coordinate customer service request to deploy, redeploy or disengage the solution in accordance with operational procedures.
    • Monitor and maintain project schedules to maximize productivity and ensure projects are completed on time.
    • Regulate FPS Solution Performance and Reporting
    • Manage process improvement initiatives (e.g., hardware and software enhancements, inventory control development).
    • Manage 24/7 tech support for the FPS solution on a rotational basis.
    • Manage, maintain, monitor, and adhere to the FPS Customer pipeline
    • Provide vending hardware recommendations for agreements for new opportunities and renewals.
    • Serve as the subject-matter expert for functional capabilities and underlying technical aspects of the FPS solution.
    • Identify, monitor, and resolve Vend/VMI process barriers such as bottlenecks, technology, and/or resource constraints.
    • Own and resolve escalated customer support issues.
    • Recommend and implement process improvements to department policies, procedures, and processes.
    • May conduct and facilitate meetings with customers regarding solution optimization, enhancements, and/or upgrades.
    • Collaborates with the VMI team to ensure that VMI and Vending areas are set up in accordance with new customer expectations and Vallen standards.

     

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Relevant work experience should include:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Project management experience
    • Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
    • Excellent PC skills including, but not limited to, MS Word, MS Outlook, Visio
    • Demonstrated advanced level skills in Excel.
    • Ability to work independently within defined processes and procedures.
    • Product and/or industry knowledge is preferred (e.g., Inventory Management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Vending)

     

    STAFF MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Direct management of a department, section, unit, or group involving responsibility for results in terms of cost, methods, and personnel. Full accountability for hiring, discipline, discharge, performance appraisals, salary administration, etc.

    • Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the associate is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
    • Travel required: Up to 20% of the time, international and domestic travel and will require overnight and/or out-of-town stays (via vehicle and commercial/commuter airplanes, etc.). Travel to customer sites that may consist of plant operations, warehouses, and/or industrial storeroom environments. Occasional travel to other Vallen offices.

    Required Skills Required Experience

  • Qualifications
    • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively with staff, patients, guarantors, insurance companies, and physicians.   
    • Demonstrated attention to detail; Good English speaking, spelling, reading and mathematical skills required  
    • Demonstrate ability to learn quickly, and follow directions as outlined in policies or given by supervisor
    • Strong computer skills and knowledge in Word, Excel and ability to maneuvering through multiple screens in a timely manner
    • 1+ year of medical office /hospital work experience preferred
    • Medical terminology knowledge strongly preferred
    • Insurance knowledge preferred
    • Ability to multi- task in a fast and high pressured environment
    • Stringent adherence to all HIPPA laws
    • Strong typing skills 40 and up wpm is required
    • Excellent customer service and phone skills with a background in the medical industry
