    The Senior Accountant position reports to the Controller. This position is a key resource to support the Finance Department’s continuing management of the Company’s financial records and also support Finance’s participation of the Company’s initiatives, including system conversions, implementations, acquisitions or other business activities.

    Required Skills

    • Prepare written reports, calculate and interpret financial data and analyze economic trends and conditions.
    • Must be a self-starter with excellent problem- solving and analytical skills. 
    • Ability to work independently and manage/meet multiple task assignments and deadlines. 
    • Strong computer skills, including advanced Excel spreadsheet skills.  
    • Must have excellent communication and organizational skills. 
    • Strong work ethic, professional attitude, and attention to detail.
    • Must be an out-of-the-box thinker and team player.

    Required Experience

    • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from a four-year college or university.
    • Financial reporting experience is required.
    • MUST HAVE THREE (3) TO FOUR (4) YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN AN ACCOUNTING/FINANCE DEPARTMENT, PREFERABLY IN A HOSPITAL/HEALTHCARE ENVIRONMENT OR WITH A PUBLIC ACCOUNTING FIRM. 
    • Experience preparing tax documentation preferred.
    • Experience with fund accounting preferred.
