    Our client is a studio based in Seattle WA founded by game industry veterans that started some of the most iconic FPS titles in PC & console. They are now working on a new tactical military FPS title in Unreal Engine and are looking for a Tools Engineer to join their team.

    You will evaluate how our client's teams uses their tools, identify ways to improve these tools, as well as implement new features and address bugs in the tools and the game's underlying systems. Our ideal candidate for this role will have experience across a variety of game systems, as well as an ability to identify ways to streamline processes and tools to improve the power and efficiency of our content pipelines.

    Understand how designers and artists interact with existing and future tools, identify gaps and bottlenecks in workflows, and recommend ways to improve tools and the content creation pipeline.

    Identify opportunities for automation within our tools to enhance efficiency.

    Implement new features and interface improvements in tools and underlying gameplay, art, and rendering systems to enhance the abilities and efficiency of designers and artists.

    Identify and address bugs within our tools and their underlying game systems.

    Extend the functionality of Unreal Engine's editor and tools.

    Our ideal candidate will have:

    At least 5 years of videogame industry experience.

    Experience and proficiency with Unreal Engine and its editor and tools.

    Understanding of content creation pipelines, especially Maya/Max.

    Ability to transition between various tools, gameplay, art, and rendering systems.

    Strong proficiency with C++.

    Good instincts for user interface design and the ability to simplify complex processes.

    Affinity for tactical first-person shooters.
