Lead Engineer
Permanent/Full Time - 100% Remote

In this leadership role we are looking for a strong ability to serve and advocate for the engineering team, to help nurture, and guide other engineers through both mentorship and peer reviews. Our Lead Engineer will serve as a passionate collaborative partner alongside the design and gameplay teams to prototyping unique and engaging gameplay experiences.
What You're Going to Do
Design, create, and maintain strong and highly optimized systems that fulfill all design, technical, and scheduling criteria.
Create, evaluate, and offer comments on system technical and end-user documentation.
Collaborate with Technical Leadership and Engineering to establish technical design and architecture.
Assure system stability and correctness through finding, discussing, and resolving faults.
Engineers on your team will benefit from your assistance, direction, and oversight.
Peer reviews provide valuable input and enforce code standards.
Work with production and QA to achieve realistic timeframes for the successful deployment of products and systems.
Collaborate directly with designers, content teams, and other engineers to prototype, create, and enhance gameplay features.
What You'll Bring
5+ years of experience in software development
4+ years of experience creating in a collaborative setting
2+ years of professional C++ advance experience
2 year of professional UE4 work
Working knowledge of several code bases
Engineers, content creators, and managers should be able to freely debate and analyze technical proposals, requirements, designs, algorithms, source code, and reference documentation.
Capability to deliver accurate time estimates for major projects
Work with limited supervision on high-impact jobs or autonomously on low-risk ones.
Capable of detecting and correcting regions that might benefit from optimization
The ability to write thread-safe code
Outstanding debugging abilities
Observing strict project coding requirements
Excellent cross-disciplinary collaborative abilities
Expertise in 3D math as it applies to game programming
Nice to Have
Has shipped at least one game
AAA game development experience
Experience with networked client/server architecture
Previous experience in a leadership role
