    Responsibilities

    • Lead the charge in championing the company mission, ensuring safety is ingrained as a core value, with a strong focus on quality and environmental stewardship.

    • Play a pivotal role on the leadership team, driving long-term profitability and contributing to the company's success.

    • Craft and execute the division’s dynamic environmental strategy, fostering relationships with operational, maintenance, and administrative departments while driving continuous cost reduction efforts.

    • Showcase expertise in environmental compliance, permitting, and act as a liaison with State and Federal environmental agencies.

    • Proactively identify and monitor changes in environmental regulations, implementing engagement and mitigation strategies to ensure seamless operations.

    • Oversee periodic review and enhancement of environmental management systems, standards, and procedures.

    • Provide valuable insights to the leadership team on Environmental objectives, targets, and metrics.

    • Actively contribute to Political and Community Outreach initiatives.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Aspiring Environmental Managers wanted! This role is a steppingstone for future leaders within the company; candidates must be ready for career growth and relocation for future advancement opportunities.

    • 3 years of hands-on environmental compliance experience.

    • 3 years of proven environmental leadership, including successful team management.

    Preference Qualifications

    • Prior experience in environmental compliance within steelmaking or heavy industries, including permitting.

    • Familiarity with ISO 14001 or environmental management systems.

    • 4-year degree in engineering or a related environmental, safety, or health field.

    • Registered environmental credentials and/or a professional engineering license.
