Pikemann is looking for a UI/UX Game Designer with industry-honed abilities in User Interface, User Experience, and Graphic Design to join our growing team.
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to create user-friendly HUDs, streamline menu navigation, and leverage Unreal Engine’s UMG capabilities to elevate every facet of the UI. Your focus will center on producing designs that seamlessly guide users, all while mastering the art of minimalistic visuals that harmonize with the game's narrative.
Responsibilities:
Work alongside the Creative Director to take significant UX/UI-heavy features from initial concept to final implementation in a live product.
Collaborate with Engineers and Game Designers to integrate new features seamlessly into the game's UI.
Collaborate with producers and directors to define the scope and priority of your UI/UX work.
Create visually appealing and tone-specific menus and HUD elements using your proficiency in graphic design.
Requirements:
2 + years of solid foundation in UI/UX design within the context of game development.
Proficiency in graphic design, particularly in creating icons and designing menu layouts that align with the game's tone and aesthetic.
Familiarity with relevant software packages. This includes expertise in Unreal Engine, with specific experience in using Unreal Motion Graphics (UMG) being a significant advantage. Proficiency in Adobe Suite for graphic design work.
Skill in generating art mockups rapidly, aiding in visualizing and refining UI/UX concepts.
