PAYROLL SPECIALIST

WHO THEY ARE:

Our client is a strong, stable business with potential for growth in the Real Estate area. We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to join their family-owned business in Fairfield, California. In addition to other real estate ventures, they own 40 franchise locations and have over 800 employees. This would be the perfect role for someone that enjoys a small, collaborative working environment where their opinion will be heard.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related
• ADP Workforce Now experience
• Knowledgeable of payroll issues and want to own the process
• Comfortable in a small business environment
• Communicate effectively
• Be proactive
• Equity administration experience would be a huge plus

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Process semi-monthly payroll for 800 employees across their 40 franchised taco bell locations through ADP
• Implement garnishment orders according to statutory requirements
• Review and follow up with ADP on all tax agency notices
• Process off-cycle manual checks and adjustments as required
• Liaise with HR to manage employee records, benefits, and various employment events
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality in dealing with payroll information
• Respond to various payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner
• Run ad hoc reports as requested by business partners
• Review and process employee expense report through Expensify.
• Other projects and responsibilities added at the manager’s discretion
• W2 and 1095C processing.
• Assist in a payroll journal entry and balance sheet account reconciliation.
