Monday - Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm
_ Duties Include:_
- Monitor fiduciary tax return preparation to ensure timely filing of tax returns by filing deadline
- Monitor individual tax return preparation to ensure timely filing of tax returns by filing deadline
- Process and monitor tax refunds and payments
- Review tax information set-up in the trust accounting and tax software systems for all new accounts
- Review transactions for proper coding
- Communicate with Trust Officers and Administrative Assistants regarding coding, tax forms and tax returns
- Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, and accountants regarding tax returns
- Prepare and mail various tax forms and tax returns
- Maintain all tax forms and tax return records according to retention schedule
- Prepare reports for senior management and tax department meetings
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
- Two or more years of experience in accounting or tax return preparation
- Excellent math and accounting skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel is required
