    Pioneer Trust Bank, N.A. is looking for a professional, personable and self-motivated individual for a full-time Tax Operations Specialist. This position, like all positions at Pioneer Trust Bank, N.A., does not have sales goals or quotas. Given our clientele and business model, we are very dependent on our staff working in-office. This is not a remote position.

    Monday - Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm

    _ Duties Include:_

    • Monitor fiduciary tax return preparation to ensure timely filing of tax returns by filing deadline
    • Monitor individual tax return preparation to ensure timely filing of tax returns by filing deadline
    • Process and monitor tax refunds and payments
    • Review tax information set-up in the trust accounting and tax software systems for all new accounts
    • Review transactions for proper coding
    • Communicate with Trust Officers and Administrative Assistants regarding coding, tax forms and tax returns
    • Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, and accountants regarding tax returns
    • Prepare and mail various tax forms and tax returns
    • Maintain all tax forms and tax return records according to retention schedule
    • Prepare reports for senior management and tax department meetings

    Required Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
    • Two or more years of experience in accounting or tax return preparation
    • Excellent math and accounting skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel is required
