We are hiring an Automation Controls Validation Technician in the Kansas City, MO metro area to test and validate industrial control panels before shipment. This is a process-driven, repeatable role focused on loading programs into PLC and IPC equipment, verifying panel functionality, and recording serial numbers. The Automation Controls Validation Technician position is a day shift opportunity with consistent overtime at 50-60 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities - Automation Controls Validation Technician
- Load and program software into Industrial PCs (IPC) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) as part of a panel validation team
- Verify the functionality and accuracy of programmed control panels and associated components before shipment
- Enter and manage serial numbers and other critical data into the tracking database with a high degree of accuracy
- Input programs into radar scanners, confirm proper operation, and document results
- Provide troubleshooting support for control panels and instrumentation, and maintain organized records of all completed tasks
Qualifications - Automation Controls Validation Technician
- Familiarity with PLC and IPC equipment through coursework, hands-on exposure, or prior employment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow repeatable processes consistently
- Effective organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet daily targets
- Comfortable working in a team-based production or shop environment
Preferred Qualifications - Controls Validation Specialist
- Prior hands-on experience troubleshooting control panels and associated instrumentation
- Exposure to Siemens automation platforms or similar industrial control systems
- Experience with industrial data entry, serial number tracking, or equipment provisioning
- Associate degree or technical certificate in automation, electronics, or a related field
Physical Requirements - Automation Controls Validation Technician
- Ability to stand for extended periods during an 8- to 10-hour shift in a shop or production floor setting
- May require lifting up to 50 lbs when handling control panels or equipment
- Indoor shop environment with exposure to standard industrial noise levels
- Day shift schedule with regular overtime expected; little to no travel required
