Project Manager – Commercial Interiors | Manhattan (WFH one day a week)

    About the Opportunity

A well-established, NYC-based General Contractor / Construction Manager is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team in Manhattan. The firm specializes exclusively in mid-market commercial interior renovations and fit-outs across the NY metro area — not ground-up, not heavy civil.

Project types include corporate office build-outs, retail, healthcare/medical office, hospitality, law firm interiors, and landlord amenity spaces. Typical project values range from $1M–$25M.

    The Role

You will take full ownership of multiple interior renovation projects simultaneously — leading them from preconstruction through closeout while managing and mentoring APMs beneath you. This is a senior role for someone who has been running projects at this scale and is ready to lead a team.

    • Full lifecycle project management from contract through closeout
    • Managing budgets, schedules, and scopes on projects in the $1M–$25M range
    • Leading and mentoring Assistant Project Managers
    • Overseeing RFIs, submittals, change orders, and pay applications via Procore
    • Serving as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, and landlords
    • Managing NYC DOB compliance, inspections, and permit coordination
    • Collaborating closely with Site Superintendents to drive schedule and quality

    What We're Looking For

    • 8+ years of project management experience at a commercial GC or CM in the NYC metro area
    • Demonstrated history managing commercial interior / fit-out / tenant improvement projects in the $1M–$25M range — not heavy civil, ground-up residential, or industrial
    • Procore proficiency is required — resumes without it will not be considered
    • Experience leading and developing junior project staff
    • Polished written and verbal communication — you will be the face of the firm to owners and design teams daily
    • Bachelor's degree preferred (CM, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related); equivalent experience considered

Bonus points for: AIA G702/G703 requisition experience, Bluebeam Revu proficiency, NYC DOB/ACP-5/ACP-7 familiarity, bilingual skills.
