The House at 1229, founded by Kathleen Buhle, is a vibrant non-profit social club for female leaders in downtown DC, committed to bringing together women from diverse backgrounds to share core beliefs and build meaningful connections. Since our launch in September 2022, we’ve created a space where open dialogue, diverse perspectives and mutual support empowers women and contributes to their personal growth.
As our membership continues to grow, we’re looking for a passionate PM Lead, Hospitality Operations eager to make a positive impact and cultivate an inviting, dynamic environment where our women leaders can thrive.
Position Overview
PM Service Lead plays a pivotal role in ensuring smooth front desk (arrival & departure process) operations, overseeing reservations, member inquiries, administrative tasks and as assigned. They are responsible for managing reservations, assisting with menu and invitation creation, ensuring all members are attended during their time at the House by anticipating their needs and providing exceptional customer service to The House at 1229 members and guests.
Key Responsibilities:
General
· Responsible for all the front desk operations, including reservations, check-ins, member inquiries, reminders, confirmations and guest services.
· Obtains and communicates names and contact details of potential members.
· Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail and deliveries.
· Provide administrative support to other departments, including mailings, reports, phone calls, and special projects.
· Generate daily reports and distribute them at the end of each day.
· Oversee all reservations for rooms, events, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
· Answer incoming calls, transfer calls as needed and take messages for members and staff.
· Order office supplies and maintain inventory stock levels.
· Preparing daily, weekly, or monthly reports as required by management.
· Perform other duties as needed for the efficient operation of the club.
· Responsible for closing the club at the end of the day and following all closing SOPs.
Customer Service
· Welcoming everyone who enters the club and making them feel comfortable.
· Offer beverages, help with food service
· Responding to questions about club services, facilities, hours of operation, and membership details.
· Handling incoming calls and emails, directing them to the appropriate departments or individuals.
· Follow house SOPs
Events and Programming
· Assisting with the planning and execution of club events, ensuring members are informed and can easily participate.
· Assist with event calendars and other tasks as needed i.e.: event promotions, event correspondence, etc.
Qualification
· High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in hospitality management is a plus.
· Previous experience in a front desk or customer service role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
· Proficiency in computer systems and office software.
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
· Attention to detail and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
· Team player, proactive, creative, problem solver, self-motivator.
· Ability to follow up and follow through.
· Time management/ Productive.
· Flexible availability.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed (rotation)
