Job Description
PMA Holdings LLC is seeking a skilled and experienced staff accountant to become an integral part of our rapidly growing organization. The staff accountant would work with a small team in our South St. Louis County office and would report directly to our office accounting manager. Responsibilities & required skills are as followed:
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Month end closing
· Prepare journal entries
· Assist with balance sheet reconciliations
· Reconcile bank and other key accounts
· Prepare documentation for external auditors and respond to audit requests
· Identify & implement improvements of accounting processes for increased efficiency and controls
· Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other duties as assigned.
SKILLS
· 1-2 year minimum proven working experience as a staff accountant
· Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
· Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
· Legal Entity accounting a plus· Data entry
skills along with a knack for numbers
· Ability to file, multi-task, and stay organized in a rapidly growing environment
· Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and accounting software
· Proficiency in English and in MS Office
· High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
· Peachtree and/or Quickbooks experience preferred
· BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
· Positive attitude and a team player mentality are REQUIRED
