We are seeking a compassionate, collaborative advanced practice clinician to provide high-quality mental health care across the lifespan. In this role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat patients experiencing a range of psychiatric conditions while partnering with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to support whole-person wellness.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including history taking, mental status exams, and risk assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals.
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications in accordance with scope of practice, clinical guidelines, and applicable regulations.
- Monitor treatment response, adjust medications as needed, and provide ongoing follow-up care.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment options, medication management, and self-care strategies.
- Collaborate with therapists, primary care providers, specialists, and other members of the care team to coordinate care.
- Document assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and medication management clearly and accurately in the medical record.
- Respond to urgent psychiatric concerns and support crisis intervention when appropriate.
- Maintain compliance with professional standards, organizational policies, and all applicable laws and regulations.
- Contribute to quality improvement efforts and support a positive, patient-centered care environment.
Qualifications
- Master’s or doctoral degree in nursing with advanced practice psychiatric-mental health preparation.
- Current licensure as an advanced practice registered nurse, nurse practitioner, or equivalent credential as required by state regulations.
- National certification in psychiatric-mental health practice, or eligibility to obtain and maintain certification.
- Prescriptive authority and eligibility to practice within state and federal requirements.
- Strong knowledge of psychiatric assessment, psychopharmacology, and evidence-based treatment approaches.
- Excellent communication, clinical reasoning, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build rapport with diverse patient populations and work effectively in a team-based setting.
- Experience with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in outpatient, inpatient, community mental health, or integrated care settings.
- Experience treating children, adolescents, adults, or older adults, depending on the practice setting.
- Familiarity with trauma-informed care, substance use treatment, and evidence-based psychotherapy approaches.
- Ability to manage a varied caseload while maintaining high standards of care.
