Position Overview:
The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) will provide comprehensive mental health care and therapeutic support to women navigating perinatal challenges, including high-risk pregnancies, postpartum depression, anxiety, and other mood disorders. This role offers flexibility with full-time or part-time options in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Schedule:
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments for perinatal patients
- Develop and manage individualized treatment plans, including prescribing psychotropic medications
- Provide short-term counseling and crisis intervention for patients experiencing acute distress
- Collaborate with OB/GYNs, MFM specialists, and primary care teams on holistic care plans
- Educate patients and families on mental health conditions and treatment strategies
- Maintain accurate documentation in EMR and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings
Requirements:
- Licensed and board-certified PMHNP (PMHNP-BC) in Georgia
- Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing from an accredited PMHNP program
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in women’s behavioral health or perinatal psychiatry
- DEA Certification and BLS Certification required
- Strong communication and collaborative clinical skills
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and perinatal mental health protocols
- Bilingual candidates (Spanish or other languages) are a plus
