Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Manager to lead a comprehensive Community Engagement Roadmap for our facility in Mobile, Alabama. This role involves overseeing project timelines, budgets, and resources while ensuring alignment with broader strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in project management and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Execute the Community Engagement Plan – 50%
- Lead the daily implementation of a locally driven Community Engagement Plan
- Ensure cross-functional alignment via collaboration with a Mobile-based multi-functional team (MFT)
- Plan and execute community-facing activities and events that increase visibility and presence in the local ecosystem
- Drive issue resolution and maintain delivery timelines
- Ensure timely delivery, review, and approval of program deliverables
- Integrate and harmonize schedules across program phases and work packages
- Lead weekly meetings for designated workstreams
- Develop and maintain detailed program schedules
Foster Stronger Community Relationships – 30%
- Establish contact points and internal processes for handling inquiries about partnerships, sponsorships, visits, and community outreach
- Promote open, clear, and consistent engagement with local stakeholders
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Procurement, Government Relations, and local education/outreach programs to ensure alignment across community initiatives
Measure Impact and Report Progress – 20%
- Track performance against engagement objectives including visibility, reach, and accessibility
- Collect community feedback and prepare internal progress reports
- Offer data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement
- Prepare for project gate reviews and report on risks with mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Community Engagement, Social Impact, or related field
- Project Management Certification (PMP or equivalent) preferred
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Experience managing cross-functional community-facing initiatives is highly desirable
