Responsibilities - Safety Coordinators are an integral part of the departments they support. - They assist with regulatory compliance, injury reduction, and workforce productivity. - Coordinators develop and implement safety policies and procedures. - They support healthcare and accreditation teams. - They provide input on facility and equipment design. - They review and improve existing processes and procedures. - They conduct safety audits, perform hazard assessments, and implement solutions. - They analyze and interpret data to make informed decisions. - They maintain strict confidentiality of information. Qualifications - Masters degree in Environmental, Health and Safety or related field. - 5 years of experience in occupational safety, emergency management, or related field. - Ability to work independently and in a team. - Understanding of safety regulations and ability to communicate effectively. - Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. - Knowledge of computer software packages. - Healthcare safety experience preferred. - Professional certification (e.g., CSP, CIH) preferred. Exemption Status: Exempt Compensation Detail: $98,030 - $147,098/year; Education, experience, and tenure considered along with internal equity. Benefits Eligible: Yes Schedule: Full Time Hours/Pay Period: 80 Schedule Details: Monday through Friday, normal business hours. Flexibility may be required. Weekend Schedule: Flexibility as needed.
