Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and outgoing barista/food runner/cashier to join our team! In this role, you will welcome customers into the restaurant, you may take their order at the counter. take out their food, make their coffee or a combination of all these. Your goal is to ensure patrons enjoy their time with us at Sunburst. The ideal candidate is passionate about customer service and is willing to go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. Previous experience in this type of industry would be an advantage.

Responsibilities:

Welcome customers into Sunburst with a smile

Take food and beverage orders

Explain the menu items to customers

Create a variety of espresso-based drinks, from basic to more complex

Enter orders into the POS system with accuracy and efficiency

Run food from kitchen to customers tables

Bus tables and wipe down surfaces

Maintain a clean work environment

Ensure customer has a good dining experience

Qualifications:

Previous POS/cashier experience is essential

Previous restaurant/hospitality experience would be an advantage

ServeSafe or Food Handler's Certification or ability to obtain shortly after hiring

Excellent customer service skills

Strong problem-solving skills

Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment

Ability to stand for extended periods
