    JOB PURPOSE:

    The Sales Planning Manager is tasked with delivering on sales revenue and EBITDA targets via responsibility in demand planning/sales forecasting across all key accounts. The individual is responsible for analyzing category trends and providing input into the S&OP process from a sales point of view. The individual will be responsible for executing the best in class strategies and market place approaches to maximize business results while increasing market share and growth within the category.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    GROW NET REVENUE, DISTRIBUTION, & MARKET SHARE OF OUR BRANDS by leading sales forecasting & demand planning for the sales part of the organization; assist in executing Holiday Strategy, Timelines, & Execution; assist in developing our National Wall Strategy (layout, sku rankings, adds/deletes); working with accounts on retailer specific Wall Strategy and sku add/delete management; assisting in permanent fixture process at key retailers; analyze and plan for displays impact on the overall forecast; ensuring optimal product mix/productivity by retailer

    ENSURE INNOVATION/NPD LAUNCH SUCCESS AND REVENUE MAXIMIZATION by providing analytics & insights into the category and ensuring we plan for the right amount of inventory at launch; identifying white space opportunities along with the Trade Marketing team; conducting all NPD Financial Modeling focusing on exit strategy of deleted skus; NPD performance tracking

    IMPROVE PROFITABILITY by assisting in sku rationalization process 2x per year; E&0 sell off strategies & coordination; coordinating brand restages; P&L/Trade Spend management; evaluating sales opportunities via full P lead forecast accuracy and demand planning via Stock IQ; markdown planning and management

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    4 year degree; advanced degree a plus; 5+ years of experience in forecasting/analytics in consumer package goods sales environment

    Customer marketing and trade marketing experience, and or direct selling experience to a significant national retailer is a plus

    • Ability to effectively resolve competing priorities for the team and the customer
    • Ability to work effectively within a fast paced, complex matrix and changing environment
    • Ability to access information technology applications to improve current business environment
    • Strong negotiating skills with the ability to influence up one or more levels and at top to top levels across PPI and the customer organization
    • Ability to create and transfer a selling strategy to address all market customers and channels with a long term horizon of the future state of the business
    • Proven ability to provide customized interpretations of industry and competitive data to enhance the ability to win at the shelf and achieve outstanding business results
    • Strong computer skills
    • Strong influencing skills, with ability to positively influence strategy both at the company and customers
    • Flexibility to travel as required (up to 10%)
