    We are searching for a shipping and receiving clerk for our partners on the west side! They are a manufacturer of small metal components and are looking for someone who can man the dock, load/un-load trucks, run reports, drive forklifts, verify quantities and are open to conducting meticulous tasks at times. 

    The shipping and receiving clerk is responsible for managing the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies. This includes verifying incoming shipments, preparing items for shipment, and ensuring accurate and timely delivery of products to customers. The clerk will also maintain records of all outgoing and incoming shipments and perform various warehouse tasks as needed.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders or invoices, and inspect for damages or defects.
    2. Prepare and process outgoing shipments, including packing, labeling, and arranging for transportation.
    3. Maintain accurate records of all shipments, including tracking numbers, quantities, and destinations.
    4. Coordinate with carriers and couriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
    5. Communicate with internal departments and external partners to resolve any shipment or delivery issues.
    6. Organize warehouse inventory and ensure proper storage of products.
    7. Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
    8. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
    9. Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
    10. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse.

    Requirements:

    1. High school diploma or equivalent.
    2. Previous experience in shipping and receiving or a similar role preferred.
    3. Proficiency in basic computer skills, including MS Office and inventory management software.
    4. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    5. Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
    6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    7. Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain certification).
    8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
    9. Flexibility to work occasional overtime or weekends as needed.
    10. Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in a warehouse setting.
