    PPS has an immediate requirement for an experienced Sales Manager in its new Phoenix, Arizona facility.

    The Sales Manager will be responsible for managing existing accounts, prospecting for new customers, quoting new opportunities and increasing sales volumes and profitability in the SW United States (AZ, CA, NM, NV).

    Responsibilities:  

    • Act as principle point of contact in the marketplace
    • Participate as key member of the sales and marketing team in establishing sales strategy, pricing methodologies, service objectives and operational deliverables for all West Coast operations.
    • Work to develop and maintain exceptional relationships with both current and potential customers.
    • Develop and maintain strong, open, relationships with internal customer service members.
    • Work with the President and the sales team to establish sales objectives through customer communications, forecasting and development of an annual sales plan for the territories and the company, and establish, maintain, and manage selling prices by monitoring profitability, costs, and the competitive environment.
    • Generate and prospect customer leads through referrals, cold calling, and market research.
    • Qualify potential new customers for company fit and creditworthiness.
    • Proactively work to ensure all customers meet company terms and conditions.
    • Work with Operations and New Product Development (NPD) to offer shape design assistance with the goal of successful production through all departments.
    • Expedite the resolution of problems and complaints to both company and the customer’s satisfaction.
    • Reporting of sales statistics / activities as required.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:

    • Identifiable track record of customer facing experiences and relevant education coupled with proven capabilities in delivering profitable results in a highly competitive environment.
    • Bachelor’s degree, technical education, or combinations of equivalence.
    • Concentration in Marketing, Business, or Engineering is preferred.
    • Minimum of 10 years’ experience working in a fast paced, manufacturing, process, or distribution type environment.
    • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office is required.
    • Legal authorization to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
    • Sales or related experience working in the aluminum extrusion and aluminum finishing industry.
    • A strong, non-authoritative, collaborator and relationship builder who possesses outstanding presentation and interpersonal skills and who can accommodate, facilitate, and drive growth within the organization.
    • A hands-on, can-do manager who can work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, highly competitive work environment.
    • Highly people oriented with an innate ability to establish a high degree of credibility and trust with staff and with customers.
    • Able to continuously present a positive attitude internally and externally while working energetically to offer mutually beneficial solutions without direct supervision.
    • A proven record of Sales management success working in a fast paced, customer focused, manufacturing, or similar, environment.
    • Excellent math, English, and presentation skills working in a MS Office Environment.
    • Understanding of Engineering Drawings, Material Specifications and Pricing models.
    • Ability to travel up to 30%
