    PPS is seeking a qualified Finishing Manager for our aluminum extrusion facility in Phoenix. The Finishing Manager will be tasked with safely leading and managing all operational aspects of our Anodize and Paint operations and the development of finishing capability.

    This is a full-time, permanent, direct-hire position with a highly competitive pay rate and second-to-none benefits!

    Responsibilities Include:  

    • Develop and implement initiatives to improve company performance in the areas of operational capability, cost management, safety, productivity, and quality.
    • Oversight and execution of production on a day-to-day basis ensuring production is conducted safely, on time and on budget.
    • Monitor changes in technology and equipment within the industry and contribute to the development of the processes to maintain growth and profitability
    • Ensure compliance and continued improvement in all OSHA, Environmental and compliance related issues.
    • Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s), ensuring that safety, quality, and productivity are monitored, corrected, and improved as required.
    • Collaborate with all departments on continuous improvement through waste reduction and productivity improvement initiatives.
    • Assist in development of technical and operating capabilities.
    • Work with Shift Team Leaders/Supervisors to monitor Operations for safety, environmental, and housekeeping concerns and ensure action is taken to protect the health and welfare of our employees and our environment.
    • Ensure appropriate scheduling and availability of resources such that customers’ requirements can be met at the lowest possible cost.
    • Oversee preventive maintenance functions and assist the Maintenance Supervisor in establishing priorities and initiatives to ensure equipment availability and reliability (maximize up-time).
    • Ensure that all elements of company's Quality System are being followed and improved.
    • Work with Technical Team to conceptualize, develop, test, and implement cutting edge technology.
    • Actively drive Continuous Improvement and LEAN Initiatives.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering, or other relevant discipline from an accredited institution.
    • Minimum of 10 years managerial experience in a manufacturing / plant environment.
    • Employees must be legally authorized to work in United States of America. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
    • Clean background and drug screen
    • A proven record of management success in a fast-paced, customer focused, manufacturing environment.
    • Experience in successfully developing strong teams and strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and customers.
    • Experience in strategic planning and optimization of resources.
    • Experience in managing safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
    • Experience and training in Lean and Six Sigma concepts.
    • Proven ability to lead, collaborate and execute.
    • A strong, non-authoritative, team builder who possesses outstanding presentation and interpersonal skills and who can accommodate, facilitate, and drive growth within the organization.
    • A hands-on Manager with experience running highly automated systems.

    • People-oriented with an innate ability to establish a high degree of credibility with staff and with customers.
    • A high level of interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with customers, employees, and suppliers.
