    LOCATION:  Austin, TX

    CONTEXT: Our client, a leading telecommunications company, is seeking an experienced and ambitious Strategic Account Executive.  This role will  lead all sales efforts within an assigned territory, including prospect identification, lead generation, sales calls, handling the sales cycle, proposal and contract negotiation through deal closure. The Strategic Account Executive is expected to meet sales goals while delivering the highest standard of integrity, quality, and customer service to clients.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Generate new leads through networking and prospecting, including cold calling, as well as using marketing and PR activities of the company.
    • Establish, handle, and manage relationships between Senior Executives and prospect companies.
    • Make sales presentations to customer and prospects at all levels and for a variety of departments of Fortune 1,000 companies, and other accounts within a prescribed territory.
    • Communicate with prospective clients regarding company services and capabilities, benefits, and competitive advantages. Facilitate technical follow-up to close sale.
    • Target account selling (prospecting/lead generation, qualification, scoping, closing strategies, negotiations, etc.).
    • Interface and develop professional relationships with existing clients and prospects throughout all organizational levels.
    • Coordinate and actively participate in contract negotiations.
    • Act as company representative at industry conferences and association meetings.
    • Maintain a real-time understanding of the competitive landscape to assist in figuring out win-based proposals and pricing.
    • Meet or exceed quota expectations.
    • Participate in sales planning and status meetings.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • 5+ years of recent sales experience including selling to Enterprise clients and/or Strategic Accounts.
    • Network of contacts within general contractors, commercial construction, and/or commercial real estate.
    • Experience selling low voltage construction and installation projects such as Network Cabling, Outside Plant (OSP), Security & Access Control Systems, Audio/Visual (A/V), Cellular Distributed Antenna System (DAS), PoE Lighting & Controls.
    • Ability to travel.
