    CONTEXT: Small, privately-owned manufacturing company

    The Sales Executive is responsible for generating new sales, executing sales strategy, initiating on-going contact with existing customers, identifying product needs, and developing new accounts leading to additional sales. The Sales Executive will also be responsible for sales forecasting in relation to the quarterly and annual usage of company products and relaying projections to the production team. The Sales Executive must be a confident and driven self-starter who enjoys the pursuit of new customers and sales. Relocation is not necessary for the right individual.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales opportunities.
    • Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of customers.
    • Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, web sites, and other sources.
    • Build customer relationships, establish buying cycles, and forecast customer needs.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with purchasing contacts.
    • Tracks stock levels at customer yards and manages customer needs accordingly.
    • Submits quotes and sales orders based on company price lists and product literature.
    • Provides ongoing communication with customer and production team regarding the delivery of product and manufacturing issues.
    • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analysis.
    • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, and reports information to the management team.
    • Contributes to team effort through effective communication, establishes professional relationships internally and externally.
    • Educate customers on products and emphasizes marketable features.
    • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; and making recommendations to management.
    • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies.
    • Responsible for tracking expenses and issuing expense account record keeping in a timely manner.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • High School Diploma required.
    • Existing book of business for the Permian would greatly accelerate candidacy
    • Pressure pumping experience is required (frac pumps), and a working knowledge of manufacturing processes is preferred.
    • Must be trainable.
    • Strong presentation and communication skills required.
    • Must be a self-starter and driven to secure new customers and exceed sales goals.
    • Excellent people skills with the ability to communicate with a diverse team.
    • Must be willing to travel.
    • Ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
    • Problem-solving skills to assess, adapt to, and overcome challenges.
    • Ability to negotiate with customers.
    • Emphasize excellence and meets sales goals.
    • Proficient computer skills with knowledge of MS Office and/or other databases.
    • Willingness to work weekdays, some weekends, and long hours.
    • Must pass drug and alcohol test.
    • Must pass background record check.

    ANALYTICAL SALES SKILLS

    • Ability to use Excel to build and populate sales forecasts and present data to customers in clear and concise formatting. Mathematical skills also required in reference to calculating margins and formulating discount structures. Must be able to calculate with pen and paper when needed.

    SAFETY ENVIRONMENT

    • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including safety shoes or boots, eye and hearing protection, and a hard hat when in a shop environment or on the job site.
