    LOCATION: Midland or Houston, TX

    CONTEXT: Our client, an oil and gas services company, is seeking a Corporate Development Director with strong commercial and industry knowledge of the energy and water business. 

    The Director must be forward-thinking and have the foresight to accelerate commercial strategies through new venture investments and other development programs. The ideal candidate will be an ambitious innovator who will oversee commercial development, identify new market opportunities, determine the optimal pricing to balance profit with customer satisfaction, and direct marketing operations.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Innovate and create a range of business partners and transaction alternatives.
    • Direct and perform market analysis, building market landscape and identifying opportunities, practices, and resources.
    • Perform, interpret, and present economics and strategic analysis to assist in presenting commercial projects and strategy.
    • Lead cross-functional teams to build and implement commercial projects, due diligence, and negotiation/closing processes.
    • Collaborate with other departments, including operations and sales to create new business through insightful analytical approaches to water solutions.
    • Research the industry and competition to ensure the company is capitalizing on all potential market opportunities.
    • Develop a strong pipeline of new customers through lead generation, direct and/or indirect customer contact and prospecting.
    • Bring new opportunities to a successful conclusion by coordinating the requirements, developing proposals, presenting economic analysis, and negotiating the contract as necessary.
    • Create and deliver compelling senior level presentations and demonstrations by connecting opportunities to new and existing customer business capabilities and drivers.
    • Maintain proactive business development involvement and visibility through the duration of all projects to foster relationships with clients and project teams.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • In depth knowledge and understanding of asset development for Greenfield and Brownfield Projects for Oil and Gas.
    • 5+ years of related industry experience in sales or business development of water solutions.
    • 5+ years’ experience in project management, managing large teams, excelling in negotiation and sales, and participating in business development initiatives.
    • 5+ years’ experience working in upper management.
    • Energetic and proactive, with the ability to identify & execute on key strategic and tactical priorities.
    • Strong developed contacts in the Permian, Delaware, and other active basins.
