    LOCATION: Mentone, TX

    CONTEXT: Our client, a fast growing, privately held, premier provider of water solutions is seeking a Rig-up Supervisor.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Oversee daily operations, ensure all equipment is in working order
    • Communicate with the management team on the logistics and workflow of the rig
    • Work closely with management regarding the manning and scheduling of the rig, operational, and personnel matters
    • Provide proper guidance and direction to rig crew on job tasks to be performed
    • Perform rig components, workover rig, fall arrest system, harness, derrick, and hoisting component inspections as required
    • Complete field tickets in a timely manner and turns in to the appropriate department for processing
    • Check brake systems and confirm functionality
    • Troubleshoot maintenance issues; to include performing worn equipment recognition checks and turning in maintenance requests for repair or replacement of equipment as needed
    • Operate the power swivel and crown and ground saver
    • Accurately perform torque calculations and specs
    • Performs fall protection donning and doffing as required
    • Perform hydro testing as required
    • Assist in racking of rod of tubing
    • Pull and lay down rods, tubing, casing, and other equipment as needed

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience overseeing Rig Up/Rig Down Operations
    • Experience with pumps is a MUST!
    • Experience with SCADA/Automation is highly preferred
    • Electrical knowledge/background is highly preferred
    • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
    • Must be self-motivated and highly capable of operating independently as well as in part of a team
    • Ability to communicate effectively and work with all departments and to work independently and objectively
    • Ability to be flexible and shift priorities in a constantly changing, fast-paced work environment
    • Proficient with the use of hand and power tools and equipment
    • Must be comfortable working outdoors, in inclement weather and around heavy equipment
    • Must show the ability to exercise good safety habits and make safety-conscious decisions
