    LOCATION: Can be based in Midland TX, Fort Worth TX, Houston TX, or Oklahoma City, OK

    CONTEXT: Our client, an Oil & Gas pipeline construction services company, is actively seeking an experienced Business Development Manager. This role is responsible for Business Development for poly and steel pipeline construction project for natural gas, crude, and production pipelines. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated background cultivating new clients and driving sales in the oil and gas markets for pipeline construction.

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Analyze market activity and define ideal project opportunities.
    • Maintain current established relationships, strategically identify new potential clientele, and create a plan to pursue such partnership opportunities.
    • Respond to new and existing client needs and requests by coordinating and overseeing the involvement of Design and Project Management.
    • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all work, necessary documentation, and final sign off on all projects.
    • Maintain business development involvement and visibility through the duration of all projects to foster relationships with clients and project teams.
    • Interact with Operations to maintain a keen understanding of current operational capabilities
    • Develop strategic growth plans, strategic client initiatives, and tactical action items needed to increase sales from new and existing clients.
    • Lead all aspects of new client outreach activity including client identification and qualifying, prospect introductions, conferences, presentations, and engagement with professional organizations.
    • Implement strategies, annual plans, goals, and budgets for participation in professional organizations.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Solid contacts within Upstream and/or Midstream clients for Pipeline projects.
    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow the successful performance of job expectations.
    • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
    • Ability to open doors with clients, strong writing and presenting skills, ability to win projects that are profitable, the ability to assess risk and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Creative problem-solving ability, negotiation, and follow-up skills.
    • Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to prioritize work assignments.
