Responsible for development of renewable power projects from acquisition and concept to commissioning for small Minnesota developer. This person will work collaboratively with internal and external resources in land acquisition, environmental, permitting, interconnection, meteorology, project design, construction and sales. Projects predominantly in Midwest states, travel required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Overall coordination and management of schedules, deliverables, budgets, and resources for project and pipeline development:

• Analyze critical path and fatal flaw issues
• Oversee day-to-day development work
• Actively participate in negotiations to acquire land rights
• Manage development budgets
• Manage contractors and evaluate resource needs
• Secure competitive vendor pricing and terms for project CAPEX and OPEX components
• Manage documentation systems
• Provide regular status, schedule, and budget reporting
• Relationship management of key stakeholders
• Coordinate project offtake/sales discussions
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 5 years of energy project development experience – wind experience preferred
• Strong project budget and schedule management skills
• Demonstrated success in managing projects to successful completion
• Microsoft Project software experience desired
• Google Earth Mapping or GIS experience desired
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
