Benefits: • Comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, LTD, and Group Life insurance (employer-paid for the employee) • Option for additional benefit packages and family coverage • Paid Time Off (PTO) and Company Paid Holidays • Uniform provided for work attire Responsibilities: Responsibilities and Duties: • Verifying insurance coverage of each patient • Documentation of the patient's co-payment to be obtained at check-in • Obtaining referrals for patients required based on the patient's insurance plan (Tricare/HMO/Workman Comp) • Explaining coverages to patients when necessary • Updating patient demographics and insurance packages accurately in EHR • Entering obtained referrals and authorization accurately in EHR • Answer and route phone calls in a professional manner; provide answers when possible and personalize call contents to patient • Communicate with patient’s insurance company if needed • Document all communication and correspondence appropriately in EHR • Maintain an accurate patient tracker to ensure all patient insurance has been verified prior to initial visit and all referrals have been obtained • Continuous follow-up with PCP offices regarding referral requests • Cross-cover teammates at the front desk when they are out to include checking patients in and out of clinic and initiating any required forms or paperwork to be completed on iPad. Schedule new patients/existing patients and/or work with patients to reschedule existing appointments to better suit the patient or clinicians' needs • Performs other tasks and related work as required Qualifications: • Must have a High School Diploma/GED • Should possess at least 2 years of customer service experience, with a preference for hospital or outpatient clinical office settings • Preferred experience includes 2 years in insurance verification and authorization • Strong familiarity with patient medical insurance policies and procedures is essential • Previous work background with EHRs and insurance verification portals is a requirement • Experience in primary care, pain management, and/or surgery scheduling is advantageous • Experienced in venipuncture. Compensation: $16 - $18 hourly
