Kidtastic Kids Preschool is seeking a compassionate, creative, and dedicated Preschool Special Education Teacher to join our growing team of professionals supporting preschool-aged children with special needs.

In this role, you will help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment while providing individualized instruction that supports each child’s academic, social, emotional, and developmental growth.

✨ What You’ll Do

🧩 Instruction & Student Support

Develop and implement lessons aligned with IEP goals and NYS Learning Standards

Implement the HighScope Curriculum

Adapt instructional materials and activities to support individual learning needs

Provide differentiated instruction to support academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development

Foster a warm, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment

📈 Student Progress & Documentation

Monitor student progress and maintain accurate data collection for IEP reporting

Participate in CPSE meetings, parent conferences, and parent training sessions

Collaborate with Speech, OT, and related service providers to support student success

👩‍🏫 Classroom Leadership

Supervise and support teaching assistants and classroom aides

Implement positive behavior supports and effective classroom management strategies

Advocate for the needs of students within the classroom and school community

🤝 Family & Team Collaboration

Maintain consistent and professional communication with families

Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary educational team

✅ Qualifications

Required

✔ Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education or related field ✔ NYS Special Education Certification (Birth–Grade 2 or Students with Disabilities) ✔ Experience working with preschool-aged children with special needs ✔ Knowledge of IEP development and progress monitoring ✔ Strong communication and collaboration skills ✔ Effective behavior management and de-escalation skills

Preferred

⭐ Master’s Degree ⭐ Experience developing and implementing FBAs/BIPs ⭐ Knowledge of best practices in early childhood special education ⭐ Creativity, flexibility, and passion for inclusive learning
