We’re currently seeking a Business Affairs & Legal Affairs Intern to support the business and legal affairs group. The successful candidate will have strong experience supporting a counsel in the entertainment industry, has a law background and is passionate about growing a career in Business Affairs & Legal Affairs.General Requirements:Our perfect candidate will be passionate about Business Affairs, thrives in high pressure environments, processes complex projects quickly with precise detail, is extremely driven and organized, self sufficient, has an outstanding work ethic and prides themselves on sense of urgency.Responsibilities:• Will support an extremely busy legal department• Excellent phone management skills and etiquette• Develops and maintains databases, distribution lists, mailing lists and filing systems• Familiarity with production legal, unions, intellectual property, and entertainment law• Take notes, Prepare presentations for internal/external meetings• Maintains standards of strict confidentiality with respect to all matters and documents• Manage and track a high volume of contracts from initial request through execution• Coordinate with business partners and attorneys to ensure the timely turnaround of legal requests• Organize legal files• Assist in the drafting of a variety of legal documents (e.g., non-disclosure agreements, vendor contracts)• Editing, proofreading, summarizing and redlining agreements, correspondence, contracts and legal documents• Maintain an awareness of the Executive’s obligations in order to proactively assist and/or anticipate needs• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment where flexibility, keeping others informed and anticipatingneeds is essential• Strong analytical capabilities and judgment• Detail oriented, organized and able to multi-task• Demonstrated proactive problem solving skills• Ability to understand and abstract various legal documents and contracts• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information• Ability to handle multiple tasks, respond quickly to shifting priorities and function in a demanding environment withcompeting and changing priorities• Experience building and maintaining filing systems and organizing and maintaining large amounts of dataExperience & Skills:• Bachelor’s Degree required; Candidate must be currently enrolled in Law School preferably in their second or third year• Excellent interpersonal skills• Demonstrated proficiency with Google docs and dropbox• Demonstrated proficiency with Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• A self-starter who is able to work both independently and function well within a team• A learner’s mindset, curiosity, and desire to develop personally and professionally • Legal research, legal writing
