    PRN Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) – Primary Care Brooklyn, NY

    We are a small, growing, patient-centered primary care practice in Brooklyn seeking up to two experienced PRN Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs) to support patient access, overflow coverage, employee health services, and payer credentialing expansion. This role is ideal for experienced NPs seeking predictable PRN schedules within a supportive primary care environment.

    Schedule

    PRN position with structured, predictable coverage options

    Opportunities may include consistent weekday coverage (e.g., Wednesdays) and/or regular Saturday availability

    Coverage may also include additional weekdays based on practice needs and mutual availability

    No guaranteed minimum hours

    Patient Volume

    Scheduling typically supports an average of up to 2–4 patients per hour, depending on visit type and practice needs.

    Compensation

    $67–$72 per hour, based on experience and availability

    Hourly, non-exempt position

    Clinical Responsibilities

    Provide episodic primary care to children and adults

    Manage sick visits, follow-ups, and telehealth visits

    Conduct employee health visits (e.g., return-to-work exams, clearances, forms, vaccinations)

    Perform basic gynecologic exams, including Pap smears and STI screening

    Provide fee-for-service/self-pay visits for uninsured patients

    Order and interpret diagnostic tests and labs

    Maintain timely, accurate documentation in the EHR

    Collaborate with the clinical team to support continuity of care

    Requirements

    Board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)

    Active New York State NP license

    Completion of New York State–required 3,600 clinical practice hours and eligibility for independent practice

    Comfortable providing care across the lifespan, including pediatrics

    Comfortable performing routine GYN exams (e.g., Pap smears)

    Eligible for credentialing with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans

    Primary care experience strongly preferred

    Bilingual (English/Spanish or other languages) strongly preferred
