  • Responsibilities

    We are seeking a dedicated and patient-centered licensed Physical Therapist or Physical Therapy Assistant with Lymphedema Therapy certification in the Tampa area to provide complete decongestive therapy in patients’ homes. You will deliver client-centered, effective treatment that promotes independence in everyday activities. A holistic perspective and adaptability are essential.

    Skills

    Proven work experience as Certified Lymphedema Therapist

    Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of lymphedema therapy

    Hands-on experience with measuring patients

    Knowledge of the different garments available

    Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities

    Current knowledge of treatment practices per discipline and drive to continually learn and grow in the profession

    Professional behaviour

    Excellent interpersonal communication skills

    Valid license to practice physical therapy.

    You Will Be Responsible For:

    Assesses patient ability to safely and effectively perform independent living skills

    Designs appropriate plans of care, including type and frequency of treatment

    Implements treatment plans using appropriate modalities

    Documents patient progress

    Plans and assists with patient discharge from therapy services and provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs

    Guide and educate family members and caregivers

    Observe, note, and report on progress of long and short term treatment goals

    Collect data and document processes followed

    Regularly follow-up client.

    What You Will Need:

    Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

    Current valid State license as a Physical Therapist/Physical Therapy Assistant

    Certified Lymphedema Therapist

    Professional Liability Insurance.
