Job Description
_ A Day in the Life_
The pharmacy residents at Munson Medical center transition into a valuable member of our clinical team. Through completion of required and elective rotations of the specific residency program (PGY1, PGY2 specialty residency), the resident will transform into a fully prepared new practitioner. Each rotation or learning experience has associated goals and objectives for which the resident will be evaluated on during that experience. Our talented staff of preceptors carry a wealth of knowledge and provide the resident with the best experience possible.
Munson Medical Center’s PGY1 and PGY2 residency programs are guided by the current ASHP Accreditation Standards.
The PGY1 Residency starts July 1st of the year in which the resident matches and ends June 30th the following year. The residency program will potentially offer a PRN position to allow for an early training period that occurs 4-6 weeks preceding the start of the residency.
