Come Join out team! Pulmonary Sleep & Critical Care Specialist is a very busy practice with 3 locations across Charlotte and Sarasota County Florida. We have 4 advanced providers and 5 mid-level providers. Our Sleep Center is located within our Port Charlotte location. The 4 bed sleep center is AASM accredited and utilizes brand new Compumedics sleep systems and ResMed PAP equipment. The sleep center is open 7 nights per week (closed on major holidays) 7:30PM -7:30AM.

Part time Sleep Technologist (NIGHTS: 7:30PM - 7:30AM) Guaranteed 24 hrs. per week (Wednesday and Saturday NIGHTS with opportunity to cover shifts as needed)
Pay Range:
Pay is based on experience. (RPSGT vs non - RPSGT) $23-$32/hour
Summary/Objective:
A Polysomnographic Technologist is responsible for the performance of all the Sleep Disorders Center procedures and technical standards set forth in accordance with the essential job functions approved by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM).
2:1 patient to tech ratio with no scoring required.
Job Responsibilities:
Ability to perform accurate and complete Polysomnograms, CPAP and BiPAP, ASV titrations, Oxygen Titration studies in accordance with established policies, procedures, and physician orders.
Reapply electrodes as needed and trouble shoot equipment issues during the night/ call tech support to ensure a quality study is collected.
Implement appropriate interventions (including actions necessary for patient safety and therapeutic intervention such as continuous and bi-level positive airway pressure, oxygen administration, etc.).
Ability to identify and meet patient-specific needs (physical/mental limitations, current emotional/physiological status regarding the testing procedure, pertinent medical/social history.
Explain testing procedures and educate patients about sleep disorders.
Document routine observations including sleep stages and clinical events, changes in procedure, and significant events to facilitate scoring and interpretation of polysomnographic results.
Comply with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and standards regarding safety and infection control issues.
Comply with the AASM and BRPT Standards of Conduct.
Required Skills & Experience:
Current CPR / BLS Certification (required) ***
Minimum 1 year polysomnography experience or successful completion of a sleep program (required) ***
RPSGT/RRT /CPSGT (preferred)
Associate’s degree or higher in healthcare science related field (preferred)
Experience with Compumedics PSG5 (preferred)
Bilingual/Spanish speaking a plus
