Job Description:
- Implement specialized therapy treatment in accordance with the student's Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
- Administers physical therapy assessments to determine a student’s level of functioning relative to their age and educational placement in a variety of areas.
- Analyze and interpret assessment data and facilitate the use of the data as a guide for operative instruction to improve student skills.
- Collaborates alongside a multidisciplinary team including special education staff, classroom teachers, and other service providers to ensure continuity and consistency in providing comprehensive services to students.
- Serves as a member of the school’s multidisciplinary team, IEP program team, and offer consultation and collaboration with school staff and parents in support of student’s goals
- Completes, updates, and maintains required documentation
- Perform other appropriate duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university
- Active Pennsylvania Physical Therapy License
- Must have at least 1 year consecutive experience treating children and/or adolescents in an educational setting
- Must be comfortable using a computer
- Must be able to complete clinical documentation to school district standards
- Current clearances (within 6 months)
