    DESCRIPTION:

    ProducePay is looking for a dynamic Chief Commercial Officer who will be responsible for revenue across all our financing products. He or she will own all go-to-market activities, starting form marketing and prospecting all the way through final closing. As ProducePay enters a phase of hyper growth, the CCO will also build out all-star sales teams and manage rigorously to revenue performance across all segments of the sales funnel. Focusing on the core market of thousands of fresh produces growers in Latin America, the CCO will personally develop relationships with key accounts to help close strategic enterprise accounts. The CCO will also work closely with ProducePay's credit committee throughout the deal closing process in shaping both the health and size of the ProducePay financing portfolio. Finally, the CCO will develop marketing and other outreach strategies to creatively expand the top of funnel and engage target growers.

    WHAT YOU'LL DO:

    • Establish the commercial strategy and objectives and meet targets according to plans;
    • Develop and implement short and long term sales strategies;
    • Lead all business development efforts with referral partners (e.g. input providers, other financial institutions);
    • Overall field sales implementation (lead generation, awareness, etc.);
    • Overall inside sales implementation (demand response, data enrichment, etc.);
    • Recruit and lead an exceptional sales teams;
    • Provide inputs and execute corporate programs.

    WHAT EXCITES US:

    • Sales- or revenue-focused executive with experience in commercial banking, other enterprise lending (e.g. B2B fintech). Experience and/or background with the fresh produce industry strongly preferred.
    • Track record of building up sales organizations through scaleable structures (best-in-class sales compensation, metrics, training, processes) to drive success
    • Experience with hiring, training, developing, and motivating an extraordinary global sales force working across all stages of sales funnel (e.g. SDRs, BDRs, AEs)
    • Background and success in building creative product, growth, and content marketing functions
    • Experience with underwriting, due diligence, and other financial analysis of potential clients
    • Bias toward training, coaching, and mentorship (e.g. handbooks, onboarding processes)
    • Proven ability to build external partnerships and relationships to drive referrals
    • Familiarity with business planning, e.g. reliable sales forecasts and resource requirements
    • Passion for ProducePay's mission of bringing fairness and transparency to growers of fresh produce
    • Bilingual: business fluency in English and Spanish required

    This role is currently working remotely from home until the COVID pandemic has stabilized. Must be in the LA area to be hired for this position.
