    Job Summary
    The employee reports directly to the Assistant Medical Director working under the Chief Administrator. This position requires the direction, training, and evaluation feedback of the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program Direct Care Workers. In addition the employee is responsible for the inter-agency and intra-agency communication and relationship. The employee provides direct service to clients and their families placed in a psychiatric rehabilitation program and oversees the clinical component of services provided. The employee shall be in philosophical agreement with program goals and the program model. The job is currently classified as exempt and will meet FLSA / DOL requirements.

    Responsibilities

    Demonstrates expertise in staff supervision, evaluation, development and training, and state regulations. Demonstrates proficiency in the field of behavioral health. Demonstrates proficiency in communication & written skills. Maintains open communication lines with agency staff, attending clinicians and physicians, clients and families. The specialist must be skilled and able to provide community-based comprehensive rehabilitation and recovery services and supports, including, but not limited to:

    (1) Community living skills

    (2) Activities of daily living

    (3) Family and peer support

    Qualifications

    Masters Degree in human services field (i.e., social work, sociology, psychology, education counseling, etc.)

    Two years experience in rendering child oriented services (where this specialist acts as a designated person for PRP-Minors), and a practicum field experience at an accredited college desirable.
