    Position Overview: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all facility systems and infrastructure operate smoothly and efficiently. Your work will support our food production operations by maintaining and repairing building systems and equipment, contributing to a safe and productive workplace.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on facility systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pneumatic and mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.
    • Repairs amp; Troubleshooting: Identify and address issues related to facility systems and equipment. Perform repairs on electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and plumbing systems as needed.
    • Facilities Management: Oversee the upkeep of building infrastructure, including lighting, flooring, building exteriors and building grounds. Manage and coordinate work for contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or services.
    • Safety amp; Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies. Perform routine safety checks and ensure that all safety equipment is operational and up to date.
    • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections. Prepare reports on the status of facility systems and recommend improvements as necessary.
    • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to facility-related emergencies, such as system failures or hazardous conditions, to minimize operational disruptions and ensure safety.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with other maintenance team members, production staff, and management to address and resolve facility-related issues efficiently.

    Qualifications:

    • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certification or associate’s degree in Facilities Maintenance, Mechanical Systems, or a related field is preferred.
    • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role, ideally within the food industry or a manufacturing environment.
    • Skills: Proficiency in maintaining and repairing HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
    • Knowledge: Familiarity with building systems, safety regulations, and maintenance best practices. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
    • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and other departments.
    • Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC certification, electrical or plumbing licenses) are a plus.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to lift to 60 pounds and perform physical tasks, including climbing ladders and working in confined spaces.
    • Capability to work in various environmental conditions, while adhering to safety protocols.
