Maintenance Mechanic- 2nd Shift

Summary: Under the direction of the Plant Engineering Manager, the Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing duties to repair and maintain machinery, equipment, building and facilities requiring a broad knowledge of maintenance skills including mechanical repair, plumbing, welding, carpentry, fabrication and a basic knowledge of electrical repair.

Responsibilities:

• This position requires a self-motivated, reliable employee to join our Maintenance Department
• This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor
• Maintain work and shop area, stock tools, parts, and supplies.
• Repair, install, adjust, troubleshoot, or maintain machines or vehicles.
• Collaborate with other workers to repair or move machines, machine parts, or equipment.
• Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair, using hand tools, jacks, or hoists.
• Complete repairs and part replacements and reinstall after repairing.
• Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments according to product specifications.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure that building systems operate efficiently and that the physical condition of the building does not deteriorate.
• Groundskeeping includes lawn maintenance, snow removal by equipment and/or shoveling, and outside maintenance of buildings and area surrounding buildings.
• Comply with GMP, personal hygiene, HACCP and other quality and safety programs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• PLC knowledge
• Ability to read electrical schematics.
• Strong skills in systems repair, hydraulics, electrical, maintenance, welding
• Strong math skills required.
• Physical requirements include lifting to 60 lbs., bending, standing, and climbing.
• Ability to work with and problem-solve independently or with a team.

Pay Range:

• Based off experience hourly rate (2nd shift premium)

Hours:

• 2 shift: Monday-Friday 4Pm-12AM (Potentially 4pm-2AM)
