  • Responsibilities

    The CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT assists the physician with giving medical care to the patients; responsible for taking vital signs, history, asks patient for chief complaint, documents all relevant information and treatment in the patient's chart; schedules testing and referral appointments for patients, per physician's instruction; telephones pharmacies with prescriptions requested by the physician; maintains medical supply inventory; orders all medical supplies and provides support to front office personnel; performs other duties necessary in providing high quality patient care; greets patients and visitors and handles incoming telephone calls in a friendly and courteous manner; responsible for timely and accurate patient registration and check-in; schedules appointments and re-appointments; key in demographic information into the computer; performs a variety of clerical support functions such as files charts at the end of each day, pulls charts for next day appointments and files all information into the charts; retrieves charts form medical records.

    QUALIFICATIONS /TRAINING:

    • One year experience in physician’s office or other clinical setting

     

    LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/REGISTRATIONS/EDUCATION:

    • Minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited school
    • Must have a valid certification from accredited Medical Assistant Program.

    WORK SCHEDULE:

    • Full-time, 80 hrs bi-weekly

  • Qualifications
    • JOB QUALIFICATIONS

      • Technical School Degree in computers, A/V or related technology or AA in computer sciences or electronic technology desirable or equivalent work experience
      • Strong understanding of videoconferencing systems, webcasting and audio/video conferencing technology
      • Minimum 2+ years of technical support experience with emphasis on customer service, live streaming systems, remote access and internet skills
      • Strong understanding of Windows and MS Office
      • Strong telephone and customer service skills
      • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a constantly changing environment
      • Ability to interact appropriately with high level management
      • Ability to delegate work to peers in subordinate position
      • Ability to learn new technologies easily and good analytical skills
      • Attention to detail and ability to remain focused a must
      • Must be able to determine urgency levels and take direction from higher technician levels
      • Must be able to thrive within a team environment
      • Must be able to work flexible hours
      • Experience with Polycom, Wirecast systems and post-production is a plus
