Serves as primary representative of McLeod Health Reservations & Scheduling, providing patients and families with Insurance verification and eligibility checking for outpatient or inpatient procedures provided by McLeod Regional Medical Center, McLeod Medical Center Darlington or McLeod Medical Center Dillon. Precertification services consist of verifying eligibility for insurance coverage with all payors, investigating for potential coverage that may not have been provided, obtaining prior authorization for services to be performed and completing necessary documentation to assure proper payment. Insurance representatives understand that they serve both the external customers of the patients and their families, but also the internal customers of the departments that we service. 80 hrs biweekly; hours as scheduled; primarily M-F/8:30-5:30pm
