    PHYSICIAN OFFICE  (LPN)

    JOB DESCRIPTION The Physician Office LPN will assist the nursing staff with phone calls by obtaining history and patient symptoms. The nurse will determine if the patient needs to be brought into the office or assist the patient over the phone. The nurse will  handle authorizations for medications, paperwork, such as disability forms,home bound, etc., The nurse will take telephone messages for either doctor, can fill in for either doctor if they have an employee out, will be able to schedule MRI's /EEGs with sedation through "Bed Board" after they have been authorized by insurance. Works well with entire staff.

    WORK SCHEDULE Monday - Friday; 8:00am - 5:00pm, PRN (on an as needed basis)

    SKILLS REQUIRED High school diploma or GED equivalent and a graduate of an accredited licensed practical nursing program.  SC nursing license required.

    EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Prefer one year experience in a physician's office or other clinical setting.  experience with prior authorization and phone triage preferred
