    • Responsible for oversight, startup, integration, optimization, and appropriate expansion of the Building Automated system (BAS) heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning (HVAC) controls, security, fire alarm, access control, lighting control and elevator management systems.
    • Consults with control specialists, technicians, and management to troubleshoot and solve system problems.
    • Programs BAS software, integrate new technologies, and manage the allocated budgets for the BAS.
    • Works closely with installation subcontractors and coordinates work to ensure projects are completed on time and per code, standards, and contract requirements.
    • Oversees and/or performs a point-to-point checkout per standard procedures.
    • Performs software/hardware calibration required for proper equipment and system operation as appropriate.
    • Oversees and ensures completion of project commissioning documentation for the BAS.
    • Ensures maintenance of accurate project as‐built documentation.
    • Utilizes financial and monthly forecasting tools and works with other team members to monitor, manage, and control costs.
    • Develops a long range plan for utilizing the BAS.
    • Updates and maintains the graphical web interface that provides systems monitoring and diagnosis
    • Applies knowledge of BAS to oversee development, work requests, and repairs by outside technicians
    • Develops and collaborates with the Engineering team for a long-term plan for replacement, upgrades, and installation of all BAS systems and components.
    • Educates customers and users on best practices and proper use of devices and software.
    • Maintains building components such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, building automation, energy management, lighting controls, and work order management systems.
    • Coordinates team activities and training
    • Logs equipment performance readings as assigned
    • Ensures maintenance of detailed, accurate records of system repairs, temperature, humidity and air flow as required by authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ) and medical center policy.
    • Modifies/changes control circuits; installs temporary systems to sustain operations.
    • Provides technical advice and support to operators and technicians.
    • Manages the development of project plans in advance of project activity assuring effective execution by the Project Team.
    • Monitors progress to assure compliance with the pre-determined execution plan.
    • Works weekends and shifts when necessary.
    • Responds quickly to emergencies, notifies appropriate personnel, and follows safety protocols.
    • Requires the ability to work under/handle stressful situations.

    Must be a quick thinker and able to displays positive emotional behavior, as well as apply positive social skills with co-workers, vendors, customers, and patients.

    WORK SCHEDULE: 80 HOURS BI-WEEKLY

     

    QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING:

    Must possess a minimum of four (4) years of experience maintaining commercial/industrial heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration systems. Must be able to demonstrate computer data entry and control diagnostic procedures.

    Successful completion of the following courses of study within one (1) year of employment is required:

    • AUTOMATEDLOGIC installing WebCTRL system – system operator training
    • TEMCON advance HVAC/DDC systems

    LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/REGISTRATIONS/EDUCATION

    • High school diploma/GED required.
    • Due to insurance regulations, must be at least 21 years of age with a valid drivers’ license.
    • Valid EPA refrigerant recovery certification
