- Financial counseling, preparing deposits.
- If patient having upgraded lens responsible for calling patient to inform them of amount due for intraocular lens on the day of surgery (eye cases)
- Medical records (prepping, scanning and auditing).
- Assisting clinical staff with chart preparation when needed.
- Prints orders, H&Ps, and labels.
- Post op calls to patients.
- Enter post op patient comments on to excel sheet on the J Drive.
- Responsible for clearing worklist from Schedule Maximizer and placing patients on OSC OR schedule correctly.
- Must become efficient in identifying correct Preference Card for surgical procedure
- Enter tissue data into TrackCore.
- Demonstrates expertise in communication and interpersonal relationships.
- Must be proficient on computer and data entry.
- Must have good organization skills. Must be highly adaptable and have the ability to exercise initiative and judgement in work assignments. Exhibits and applies critical thinking and problem solving abilities.
Required Skills
QUALIFICATIONS /TRAINING:
Three years office experience in position dealing with public. Outpatient registration experience required. Knowledge of insurance and coding.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/REGISTRATIONS/EDUCATION:
Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED from an accredited school
Required Experience
