Responsible for the overall supervision of the Security Department and other administrative functions in the Department.
Assist in maintaining a quiet, safe environment at the Medical Center.
Oversees Parking regulation at facility.
Serves as safety champion at facility for Security.
Maintains local daily pass down reports.
Oversees local security alerts and drills.
Performs annual appraisals on security officers that work at the facility.
Participates in local EOC/ EM committees.
Participates in local drug diversion program.
Responsible for county and local emergency management an police department liaison duties.
Responsible for investigating local complaints and incident reports concerning security issues.
Responsible for all other duties assigned by Corporate Director of Security.
WORK SCHEDULE: 80 HOURS BI-WEEKLY
QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING:
Ability to supervise the Security Department
Proficient in the use of firearms and all other security equipment
5 years in Hospital Security with two years in relevant Management or the equivalent in education, training and experience
The Security Department serves a predominately English speaking population. Successful candidates must be able to read and write English proficiently to safely and effectively perform the key essential functions of the position.
Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED from an accredited school
Certified in South Carolina Law and Firearms Instruction (Primary Basic and Primary Plus) within 1 year of hire date.
Must possess a valid SC driver’s license
Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification within 90 days of hire
Heartsaver certification within 90 days of hire
Monadnock Baton certification within 90 days of hire
