    PHYSICIAN OFFICE MANAGER

    JOB DESCRIPTION The Physician Office Manager serves as an integral part of the physician-led care delivery team; understands and upholds the practice philosophy of health care and integrates this philosophy into the practices's daily functions; develops, prepares and maintains reports as requested; ensures that the practice operates within all regulatory guidelines including OSHA, CLIA, JCAHO and any other relevant State and Federal agencies; ensures that staff understands and follows established office policies and procedures; oversees training of new staff and continued training of existing staff; reviews, approve and codes all invoices for payment; responsible for maintaining the second stage accounts receivable and insurance follow-up; maintains patient and insurance billing processes; responsible for any insurance collection issues; implements practice collection procedure of past due accounts; develops and maintains databases, spreadsheets, etc; completes special projects as assigned.

    WORK SCHEDULE 80 hours biweekly as scheduled

    SKILLS REQUIRED High school diploma or equivalent required.  Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four year college or university, preferred.

    EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Prefer one to three years related experience and/or training; or equilvant combination of education and experience; Previous insurance experience required.
